Karma isn't such a bitch after all!
A few weeks ago I found a sweet corgi wandering the
streets. He followed Blue and I home so
I decided to put FOUND posters up, post a craiglist ad and file a report with
the animal shelter. I figured if I lost
my dog I would hope someone else would do the same. The little guy was well groomed so I knew he
belonged to somebody out there.
4 days later his family contacts me and picks him up. Turns out he was the companion of a precious
little deaf girl. Whenever she strays
too far from the house he alerts the parents right away. Too freaking sweet! I wouldn't have believed it if they hadn't brought her with them to pick the little guy up.
I asked where they got him because he was so well tempered
and got along with my big dumb pit (which never usually happens!). Turns out their sister’s corgi just had
puppies around the time I found their dog.
This was a few weeks ago. They
said they would call me to let me take first pick.
I didn't hear anything for weeks so I figured they
forgot. Tonight I got a call saying they
could drop off my new puppy right away!
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is the right thing to do ß
that saying is no freaking joke. I don’t
have time for a puppy right now so I had to decline their offer of a free corgi. They even picked out one who looked like the
dog I returned to them! *sigh* I asked
if they were planning on having puppies in the future (like a year from now)
and they said that all I needed to do was call them and they would still give
me a puppy free of charge. It’s amazing
to know that gracious and appreciative people are still out there in the
world. I was able to make their day by
returning their dog and in return I now have a corgi connection for when I’m
ready to bring my dream dog into my life.
Life is good and who knew that some people are too!
