Supply list:
-Regular white printer paper
-Scissors
-Skinny paint brush
-Optional: water color paint
First punch out 8 hearts. Trim down the first four into progressively smaller ovals. Unwrap the wire from the stem and pierce the smallest petal with the wire.
Wrap the petal completely around the stem and then wrap wire around to hold it in place. You can also use a dab of glue to keep things in place. I find it a little too messy for my taste. The wire seems sufficient enough. Repeat this for the remaining small petals you just trimmed.
For the rest of the petals you need to curl the top of the heart portions as shown above. Using a skinny paint brush works perfectly for this task.
Then fold the heart in half to give it a little more shape.
This is what the remaining petals should look like before you attach them.
Continue piercing each petal with the wire and then wrapping the petal around the stem. Try to stagger the petals to give a more full realistic look. Wrap the wire around the petals as you go to hold things into place.
